"After hearing about armed protests scheduled to take place around mosques, the interfaith community rallied around Muslims. Instead of dividing the communities they targeted, news about the rallies strengthened bonds between interfaith allies and inspired numerous acts of community service around the U.S., Kuruvilla writes in the Huffington Post. Anti-Mosque protests underscore a growing anti-Islam movement in the West
By Dr. Habib Siddiqui: Racism and bigotry is on the rise across the globe. Many of the western governments won't allow building of a mosque on Muslim owned properties. Even if the central government sometimes may have no bars for such mosque constructions, the local Christian community, much given to racism and bigotry, may not permit construction of a mosque in its locality. Such objections against mosques are called democracy here - a flawed one, obviously, by the locals that have not learned that in a liberal democracy the majoritarian views should not trample religious and cultural rights of a minority. Anti-Muslim protests scheduled nationwide
By Abdus Sattar Ghazali: Amid increasing anti-Islam and anti-Muslim rhetoric, anti-Muslim groups have planned at least 20 rallies this month at mosques and Islamic centers across the Unites States on October 9th and 10th. "Humanity is attacked daily by radical Islam," the group claims in its Facebook page. "Protests will be held in every country at every Mosque."
